1 in a thousand red head’s born a special red head is born from all over the world where there are ginger people, they have the supernatural ability to take peoples souls by putting their hand over the persons chest and they have a special pendant to keep all the stolen souls in, once your soul has been taken you would be just a walking body with no personality like a zombie, they only take the souls of those that make fun or/and abuse ginger people for being ginger.
In this present day the chosen one in the Salford region is a 16 year old boy called Kylan Jones, the story takes place in Eccles Sixth Form Centre where all the soul stealing has been happening. The story starts with Kylan reading a diary made by his dad which tells him all about his ‘gift’ which he doesn’t want, Kylan’s dad died in the village they lived in where he was killed by the villagers because he owned up to his son’s doing’s, this memory is what makes him hate this ‘gift’ of his, he can’t help it because once a red head is being abused seen or unseen the blood in his veins take over his body and go to where ever the abuse is happening and Kylan will the steal soul of the abuser unconsciously, taking someone’s soul takes a big amount of mentality so every time this happens when he wakes up in the morning he gets painful headaches which lasts for about a minute, he knows very well about his ability to take someone’s soul but he has trouble trying to control it.
One day he’s walking through the college corridors after dinner time because he doesn’t like walking through big crowds when he turns to a corner he see’s someone on the floor and there was someone with him who was shouting and smacking him on the arms, somehow even though the bullied wasn't ginger he was tempted to take the soul of the bully but this time he’s completely conscious of what he is doing, Kylan then shouts at the bully but then the bully turns around at Kylan an shouts ‘mind your own business’ Kylan then runs to him and holds him by his neck against the wall with his left hand and with the right slowly absorbs his soul from his arms to his pendant, luckily there was no one around except for Lee who saw everything and now knows about Kylan’s supernatural powers, Kylan then looks at Lee with bright green eyes and Lee falls unconscious so Kylan then takes Lee to the college’s first aid room. When Lee wakes up in the first aid room he stands up rubbing his head and asks the nurse where he is so of course the nurse tells him the first aid room, Lee then leaves in a rush before the nurse could ask him the details on what happened to him.
Lee runs around the college looking for Kylan and when he finds him he shocks Kylan, he was looking for Kylan to say thanks, but then Kylan just walks away and ever since then Lee starts following Kylan around the college asking to be his friend but Kylan just keeps walking away, but Lee doesn’t give up until Kylan finally gives up until one day Kylan finally gives up and since then they’ve been good friends. 2 months later Kylan gets taken over again and tries to take someone’s soul again but then Lee shouts his name telling him to stop, Kylan then stops and Lee was relieved but then Kylan turns around and heads towards Lee so of course Lee runs the opposite way, Lee then finds somewhere to hide but then when he thought he lost Kylan he turns around and sees Kylan standing there and then Kylan holds him by the neck and lifts him up and it shows Lee trying to catch his breath while telling Kylan “it’s me, it’s Lee now stop” and then Lee tries to slap some sense into him but it doesn’t work he then kicks him in the balls and it worked so then Kylan let’s go of Lee dropping him on the floor, when Lee thought that everything was all good Kylan stands up again and walks towards Lee, Kylan then holds lee down, putting his right hand on Lee’s chest and starts taking Lee’s soul slowly but whilst Kylan was busy slowly taking Lee’s soul, Lee then finds the opportunity to grab the necklace and pulls it off Kylan’s neck, Kylan then drops to the floor, dropping Lee with him, as the pendant falls to the ground each of the souls that have been taken return to the bodies they belonged to, but as the souls return to their bodies the thought of bullying red heads disappear.
